Need Advice- Focus Problem

That is called moiré.

If you have not resized the photos or processed them other then uploading them, I would be sending the camera in for adjustment.

....or return it if you still can and get a new one.

Oh man then it looks like I will have to send it back in.

You don't think its because of the Tamron lens do you? Like does moiré happen only because of the camera?

Since u can see the distortion on the camera LCD, then it is not the computer software, also the distortion is not a lens problem.. therefore, u need to check your camera with your dealer for software issues(fastest and easiest way) mine Thankfully doesn't have the same !

Thanks everyone for your help.

I bought it from Amazon and already processed the return. Apparently they will email me soon and I have to send them the camera in 30 days (I hope the process isnt long and complicated to get a replacement!).

Sigh, so many things going wrong (even Tubetape.com called saying everything was on backorder!)

Send it to Canon for a warranty check.

They will completely check over the camera and re-calibrate all the settings.

By doing an exchange you will get a different camera that has had only the same minimal assembly line checks as the one you have got.

Only a few out of every thousand that come down the assemble line get the kind of inspection a camera submitted for warranty work will get.
