I've just signed up for model mayhem (wondering why I didn't do this sooner actually) since I'm wanting to do more shoots with people - female models in particular. It seems to be pretty easy to find lots of young talent willing to pose in exchange for the files, but the trouble I am having is coming up with ideas of locations and themes. I don't have access to a studio or any other really usable indoor space at the moment, so I need to find suitable outdoor locations. The best I can think of so far is some of Melbourne's inner city laneways which are very trendy looking and covered in cool graffiti, though this is probably a bit cliched. I know I could probably use google to get some ideas, but I figured a few people on here have probably been in a similar situation so it might be better to try and get it straight from the horses mouth, so to speak. Not that you guys are horses or anything, but you know.

So anyway - locations and themes for inexperienced people photographer and inexperienced to mildly experienced model, preferably stuff that isn't going to cost much/any money. Go.

Just search flickr or any other photo hosting site. I like to just cruise flickr (specifically the "most interesting in the last 7 days") and note things that I like, and then try to put something together.

If you had a paying client and you wanted the images to sell like heck , where would you take them , how would you set up the lighting etc. Treat it like a job and have fun with it.
