Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I've been shooting for a few years and everyone around me loves my pictures, but other than my closest friend who has also been on this journey with me, I haven't had any CC from people that REALLY know what they are looking at!

I would love if I could get some CC on some of my work, I'm always looking to improve and I think if I keep beating myself up about not getting better without knowing exactly what I should work on, I won't grow as a photographer. Sorry about the watermark on the blue eyes shot, it's near and dear to me. Thanks!

Is it bad forum etiquette here to post more than one shot?

The concensus seems to be to keep it at 5. Makes critiquing easier as you don't have to keep scrolling up and down so much. 7 isn't too bad. It can get annoting at 10 or so when they aren't numbered. (Which you did thanks.)

I'm really new so I don't have much to say other than I really love your shots.

Hi welcome. I am new to this formum and photography. I think your photo's are very nice. Thanks for sharing.

#7 is my fav. For whatever the noobs opinion is worth !

Thank you all! I was bracing myself for some harsh criticism and didn't even get any? LOL.

Some nice shots there. Number 6 and no' 3 are my favourites. I'm new on here too but i'll have a go at some critique. I like the pose on no1 but i don't like the comp. I think the empty space on her left could do with being trimmed as theres nothing of interest there. Also the top of her head being missing annoys me and i don't think it works, and the writing on her arm is distracting rather than arty. I love no3 but i think it could do with a little trimming off the right. No5, is it just me or does it need straightening up? No6 is fab, great shot! No7 isn't doing anything for me, peaceful but slightly boring.

Thats just my personal inexperience opinion anyway. I'm sure someone with more experience will give you a better critique. Nice work btw!

Yes, I think #5 needs some straightening, these are the things I sometimes don't notice!

As for #1, I think this is one of those instances where you put more of your own emotional feeling on the shot than what it is portraying. This is my dd and I LOVED that she wrote "I Rock" on her arm. I was trying to capture that, but if it is distracting instead of the main focus, then I failed a bit in what I was trying to convey!

I feel the same about #7 as well, but for some reason, people seem to love anything "countryish" but to me, it's what I see every day, all day out here! ;)

awww thanks Nikon. :D

Maybe with #1 I could crop it more and lighten the area with the "I rock"? I could do b&w as well to make it stand out more?

I think you're really good at focusing! I have to admit, I thought her arm said, "I reek" and I was really wondering why it wasn't cloned out or something. I don't have the best eyes and it's fairly early, though. I do however, wish that she had some more space on frame left instead of right. Actually I wish you'd shot vertical. But hey, I like a lot of horizontal pics that most say should be vertical too.

2 is an excellent capture. Cats are finicky lil things and I bet you took a bunch to get this one. :) I might try to work with the bg and get it a lil less distracting, but even without it, I'd probably blow this one up and put it on the wall!

3 has awesome colors!! I wish the bottom of the barn was in frame, but I can live without it. :)

4 has gorgeous eyes! Otherwise appears snapshotty to me. I think it's the chopped head on both ends and bold background. I think this is another one that would have worked much better in vertical.

5 looks like home to me. Hehe. But I think it's slightly crooked and I like the PP, but I'd like to see the original or maybe something with a good color pop.

6 is very pretty. I'm not a fan of selective coloring on 98.5 percent of images. Here the selective coloring made my first thought that it was a maternity picture. Also, I probably would have moved the table in front of the mirror or cleaned off the things on it. Nice focus and really good eye contact and smile.

7 is pretty, but it doesn't scream interest to me. What's it like in color? It's actually one I might have tried selective color on. Only coloring the flowers. Just a thought.

Overall, I say well done! :)

HA! It's really funny that you thought that #6 could be maternity...the bride was actually pregnant! You are totally right about the table being cleaned off, it was a total oversight on my part. I was playing photographer AND bridesmaid, something I will NEVER do again! She's a very good friend though, so I sweated it out (literally...you should see the shots of me in the bridal party after being photographer for a few hours in the heat! LOL) :er:

#5 is the best of the set...nice job...

lol @ #2 Can I haves high-five?

Thanks!

I'm a petsitter and people seem to think I have an uncanny way with capturing animals. It's all about making funny noises. Cats actually are interested in the camera when they hear the shutter clicking, so I've gotten some great shots of them.

2 is very good if the paw wasnt clipping the frame.

3 is one of the best but I wouodnt have centered the blossom, and would have in turn cut off a little of the branches on the right.

4 I dont like the framing, mainly around the chin with the mouth being so close to the frame edge.

5 has a nice tone and provokes curiosity to the viewer as to what in fact was going on. I assume some dancing?

6 is another bad example of selective coloring, no offense, unless she is pregnant. Why would you want my eye drawn to her waist in a mirror above? The model is very pretty and the attention should be drawn to her.

The last one and first one are alright but dont really do anything for me. You are good on your focus though.
