Need some constructive criticism

This was done yesterday, wasn't planned just random shooting.

I'm new so take my feedback with a grain of salt. but I would have lowered the flash you can see two shadows, which is kinda weird. It just dosn't look natural like I would like to see. Wrong time of day for a shot out in the open like this. It's a little weird that his foot is not planted on the blocks. He looks too overexposed.

Thanks for the feedback as well. I used the flash directly mounted on my camera because I didn't have my gear, it was just a pull over let's take some quick shots. Next time I will say no for shooting at 2-3 o'clock in the afternoon lol

I like it. I like the lifted shoe. I'd like to see it with the front flash backed off a little and diffused, but as is I'm giving it: :thumbup:

Interesting; I think if you'd reduced the flash exposure just a bit it would have worked well. I like the look, it works well with the sky, but it's just a bit too 'flashed'.

I agree the subject looks too overexposed the foot not being on the ground throws me off too. It's a nice shot though
