Need some constructive criticism

Okay, I have to say, I'm loving the little Santa hat on Poof!

But as a more serious critique, I agree with Designer about the box. I really don't like the box. Everything else works for me (after the edit that applied Derrel's suggestions) except for that box. Just put a cloth over it or something. Use a pillow case or something - a solid color that doesn't clash with the background colors. The cardboard just adds nothing to the photo.
