Works really well. Sometimes portraits where the subject is off to one side just seem unbalanced to me, but here she is looking towards the space, and the angle of her hat also seems to point there.

This is really, really nice. Great conversion, really well executed 'different' portrait style. My only minor nit is the shadow on the lower side that curves up in to her neck. I'd like to see more of her there.
