New 5DII..... thoughts on the 'kit' lens??

Thanks everyone for your response! I did not know that this would cause so much interest!!
I have been taking some pictures and I have to say that I am very impressed with both the camera and the lens.
If those that say that I have a cheap lens, I say thanks for your input and I will be sure that I don't pay a whole of attention to future comments.

Glad that you sold your kit lens... but if it was so good... why did you sell it?

Because I already had the 24-70 f/2.8L. I prefer f/2.8 over the extra reach and f/4 + IS.

Point is, it's not really a kit lens. Lots of people buy the 24-105 f/4L IS on it's own merits and not because it came with the 5D MKII. Plus this lens has been around for much longer than the 5D MKII, it just happens to be the lens bundled with it in the kit.
