need some advice on taking better and consistent pics. havent figured out how to upload pics yet but have some on flickr under flash.gordio.

When you are in Flickr, open the photo until you got the largest version open. Underneath, you'll find the URL. Copy that and paste it in here in between [ IMG] (without the blank between the bracket and the I!!!) and [ /IMG] (again without the blank!). The photo should show... You will get better response when you don't make people go to another site! And your situation here is worse without you posting a direct link ... too many just don't have the time or patience for that. Make an effort and people will make an effort back.

Sorry. No, I get a red x only. Are they open to everyone in Flickr?
And hey, a new post has added to the thread while I was typing ... you do right about the IMG-brackets. Then, however, the URL you put inbetween needs to start with http:// and end with .jpg. Anything larger, further, going beyond it, will destroy your link.

So for this I deleted everything that went beyond http:// and .jpg ... let's see if a photo will show?

Well... grrr! No. No photo. What to do? However, here you can see what it is that may go between the IMG-brackets at the most.

And the link as such works fine and takes me to a very nicely done portrait of a good looking man! Only the top part of his head is missing ...

(To your information, Flashgordio: I did not quote your post which contains the link this time, but copied the URL out of it and placed it into my post, inbetween the IMG-brackets, and this time it SHOULD work, as it did not transform itself into a link, like it did when I quoted your thread and only deleted everything around the URL).

on flicka site theres a share photo option which says grab link. which gives a url but dosnt work. any thoughts......

yes, use the second option there (the shorter link) rather than the first, longer address.

Yay! You got where you wanted to get to: you can post photos into the very thread! Cool. And it is another wonderful portrait! I like both of these so far! Intense looks in both of them, an immediate connection between subject and viewer. I feel this quite strongly! Well done!

tried shorter link on flicka but jpg is missing from the end. all im getting is the odd looking icon in message. ?????
