Today I locked the cautious part of my physic outside for a period and I went a bought a new camera and two lenses all for the tidy sum of 4 GRAND!! and now that Iv'e done this I am experiencing a variety of emotions: Excitement, Denial, Hesitation, Paranoia, and a empty wallet.

What Ive got is a d750 a Nikkor 24 70 f2.8 and a Sigma 70 200 f2.8, I know the Sigma is not Nikkor but I'm not Lorenzo DeMedici.

I know that some might say that I was an idiot for buying those, particularly as I asked for opinions, but I felt the 24 70 might work for me overall not just the specific area. I hope I'm right :culpability:

I wouldn't worry about someone calling you an idiot for your choices.

Have fun. Get out there and start making images!

Its not so much the idiot comments I mean you get those whatever you do it just that an 85mm nikkor was recommmeded to me by a higher authority.

Higher authority? :o What are the qualifications for being "higher authority"? :D

TPF Bullies are higher authority. You know who they are. ;)

You bought a very standard, high-quality, two-zoom outfit with a great, modern FX Nikon body! Hard to go wrong dude!!! You got full coverage from 24mm to 200mm, in two convenient lenses. Don't stress on it, just enjoy the hell out of it!

You need a 50mm f1.4 in your life :D

Sounds like Christmas came early for you. Enjoy!

Aswesome, the feel of excitment with the feeling of guilt will pass and then you will find yourself with an amazing and powerful camera with excellent lenses, you will NOT regret buying them!
If you like photography as much as I think you do then you will find these camera/lenses so helpful and easy to work with.
Low lighting scenario that somebody with an APS-C camera and kit lenses will not even bother to try to get are now at your reach.

Congrats and enjoy your new toys :)

Had the 85mm 1.8G lens, excellent lens but with my Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 VC I found I dont use it any more so I sold it.

Let me congratulate you on the new acquisition. You join the Full Frame BIG Boy club now and I am one envious gent right now. :)
Cheers!

Beast of a set up. Enjoy

I would have went to two lenses from the same manufactor - probably Tamron - but whatever.

Congrats on the new gear !
