This is the first pics out of my new camera. I'm really liking all the features this camer has. In the first picture, I'm wondering if the noise in the background is due to the iso setting. I don't know if you can see the data from photobucket, so, speed 1/20, f2.0, iso1600. These are in the first 12 manual pictures that I have ever taken, so don't be too harsh. im having a hard time figuring out the macro feature also.

The noise is the High ISO.
Camera's like this don't handle high ISO settings too well.

I like the DOF in these photo's.

Well, I suggest using a lower ISO setting, although the S95 is one of the best, compact cameras aren't really meant to be shooting with ISO 1600. With the wide lens of your S95 and the built in IS, you should have no problem with shooting sharp pictures at about 1/8 s shutter speed. Used to do it very often with my Canon p&s. Wouldn't advice it for moving subjects though, in this case it would be safer to bump the ISO a bit.

The S95 is a really fun camera to use, congrats on the purchase. My GF just got one last week and we couldn't believe how great pictures were coming out.

It's cool how the LCD has a live view of how the exposure is gonna be captured when you're adjusting the shutter speed. Made manual mode a lot easier on her.
