Hello PhotoForum, Im Terrell from Virginia and im very new to DSLR Photo taking and my GF bought me a Canon Rebel XS, i know its not the best but works for now. It came with the 18-55 Lens, But i like to take pics at my Softball Games, which lens would be good to buy for those Photos??? Any other photo taking info with this camera would be appreciated.

I would say the 55-250 would be sufficient for what you are trying to do. You need to do some reading about exposure and the basics of photography, which will help you progress nicely. Anyways, welcome to the forum, and we hope to see some photos soon!

Welcome to TPF!

I'd go w more reach and use a 70-300. My kids grew up w me on the sidelines (of several sports) using that lens on Nikon gear.
