New Lens Day!!!

Just picked up a new Canon 24-70 2.8 II and have to say it is awesome! Super sharp and great colors. Just a few quick snaps with some clamshell lighting and one with a softbox and reflector. Both girls are my kiddos. I can see I'm really going to enjoy this lens!

I really like the one on the right, lovely smile, colors, sharpness and DOF. Would rather not have the head floating in space.

The first one looks way blown out, the middle one a bit too much contrast for my taste.

The whole idea of the 3 was to show the great detail the lens provides in different lighting. I do love bright glamor style lighting, as do I love high contrast lighting. And floating heads rock! Portraits are about faces, not necks and shoulders. Mixing it all up is what makes it fun! But thanks for your view. The lens is quickly becoming my favorite lens. It is great!
