New lens...help!?

I already have a 18-70mm Nikkor Lens for my d70s and I really like this lens as far as standard ones go

I am starting to learn how to take macro photos and I am wondering what a nice beginners macro lens would be? Good quality for the cost I like the Sigma 150mm & 180mm but they are a bit expensive on the sites I've been on :/ Any suggestions? I'm interested in photographing nature and eyes


Also, I really like my lens for portraits..but is there a better lens for that? I was looking at the Nikon 50mm 1.8D but I'm not sure if that would be better or worse than the lens I already have (I'm not very good with picking lenses.)

Depending on how low your budget is, you could use the sharpest lens you have and get a set of dioopters.
