Portrait set of my bro for my portfolio, C&C welcome

A little bit hot on the separation light on the cheek on the top shots. My main complaint though, is not the lighting schemes or the setups, but the background being too close, and in too good a focus; the backdrop is distracting.

I don't like the guitar being cut off in #1 and #2. You were so close to getting the entire handle/arm (??), but cut off just the tip... It bugs me a little...

I don't like the spot light on the side/back of his head either. Light is too bright, and it doesn't look like it was positioned correctly.

The last one is ok, except hes a little shiney. A little powder would have cured that problem.

Next time you take a picture with this pose though, try to leave more space in "front" of him, then behind him.

Thanks for the feedback, I thought the same but it's a limitation of my space and lights. My space is really just a bit too small for me to back up any further and give more distance between the subject and background to get it OOF. The light hitting his right side has a grid spot, closed barn doors and a piece of diffusion but it's a cheap light with no adjustment capability so it's still too bright. I'm looking to replace it very soon.

Thanks for the feedback, it's a matter of a small space and I couldnt back up any more. What do you mean I didn't correctly position the light? I know its too bright as mentioned above in my my reply to Derrel.
