WHY are they framed as horizontals?

Do you not know how to flip the tripod head so that the camera will shoot in portrait orientation? These compositions are simply awful. The second photo also has egregiously poor processing/exposure.

kinda get what you are trying to do with 1, but the pose is just missing something and the lighting is so flat. I also think a heavier five o clock shadow without the mustach might convey the look you are after a bit better.

Yes...for the style leader in five o'clock shadow, Google "Yasser Arafat", and look at the pictures that come up...that's the kind of five o'clock shadow you wanna' emulate...

I was actually thinking more along the lines of the typical portraits of letsay... George Clooney.

The way it is now, it looks unbalanced to my eyes... especially with the hair worn in that manner. Almost like (its hard to explain) a rush shave to catch the train.


Also, get rid of that rubberband on your wrist.
