New to photography.. Introduction

Hi all, I recently picked up a Nikon D70s on a trade and decided to give photography a shot. This seems like a good place to hang out and learn so here I am. I've taken thousand of pictures on my vacation and other family events with pocket cameras but I never had the desire to print larger than 5x7. I want to change that.
