New to site/first CC post...

Hi all, new to the forum. Have recently upgraded from Nikon D40 to the D7000. Really just a serious hobbiest here, started to get a little more serious with the birth of my girls to document everything for them. Here are a couple of pictures I took with the new camera...

Nice timing on the first pic. Can you link your images into the post? You may get more comments that way.

Can you do that with keeping the photos on Flickr?

Yes you can. Click on the image icon above the reply bow. It's the third icon from the right.

Click on the URL tab.

Paste in your URL (i.e. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6012/5975815973_27a2b45086_z.jpg)

Uncheck "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"

and press [Ok]

Copy the URL from the Share menu on Flickr and paste it between

tag here in your post.

Thanks! I will try and edit my post in a bit. I quickly tried to do the image link without referencing locally but all I get is the box with the red X in it for my picture...

Sorry, I don't use Flickr so I though the link in the share menu was for the image. If you go to all sizes and then right click and copy image address, that will give you the URL of just the jpg. That is what you want. Here is your second image. If you "reply with quotations" you can see the code for the image.
