New to the forum

Hello everyone. I am new to the forum and also to photography. I recently upgraded from a point and shoot to a Nikon D3000. I didn't realize just how much there is to learn so I bought the Nikon D3000 for dummies book and am trying to learn it a little at a time. I also have the Nikon Capture NX2 software for editing that I am trying to learn.
My obsession at the moment is hummingbirds! Yep I know they are one of the hardest to capture. They are the only wild life I have in my yard to practice on so I am trying the best I can.
At this time I have the kit lens and the 55-200 lens. I would love to get the 105 F2.8 Macro but at this time spending $400 is not in the budget.
I hope to share some of my photos, get opinions and learn as much as I can from all of you.
