Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hi! I am struggling with how to remove the green leaf over the subjects hand in this photo. What is the best way to do this? I am a newbie in PS :)

Nevermind....issues posting the attachment right now....sorry.

Which version/release level of Photoshop do you have?

Photoshop Elements 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10?

Photoshop 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, CS, CS2, CS3, CS4, or CS5?

Photoshop Lightroom 1, 2, or 3.

And I'm using CS5....

I should probably post this over to the photoshop forum....sorry, didn't realize there was a separate one.

you cant fix this. at least not easily. This is something you should have paid attention to when setting up the shot.

You can try selecting it and using content aware fill but I'm not sure how well it would work.

I agree, it is cannot be done so it isn't very noticably re-touched. Selecting the leaf and using Content-aware didn't work very well.

The people are very under exposed because fill lighting wasn't used. I would re-shoot the image.

I looked a the EXIF data for the photo and saw that ISO 1600 was used, which is adding image noise to the under exposed portions of the photo, like the mom and her son.

It seems the camera was set to an auto mode which selected the high ISO setting.

The metering mode used looks to have been Matrix or Center-weighted, which is a poor choice for doing potraiture. Spot metering is better for people shots.

Thank you all for your input and feedback. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

No, its time to get back out in the field!

I agree that's a re-shoot. But I'm stuck at work and kind of bored, so what the heck. Here's a rough attempt. I copied the other hand and flipped it for a replacement. Did some white balancing as well, but this computer at work isn't calibrated so I'm not signing off on the color.
