Newborn - C&C Please

I took some photos of my son and would love any feedback! Any tips to improve would be greatly appreciated. He won't be this little for long and I want to get the best pics I can. Thanks in advance.

Hey Angie. Your son is a-flipping-dorable! Quite like the tones here - maybe a bit more contrast. I prefer the second as the angle of the camera is more natural. I feel like the first is not the right orientation and it feels a bit unnatural. It looks like the lightsource (particularly on the second) is coming from behind your son - maybe next time try having the lightsource at his front the next time?

I really like the second one too, I think on the first one if the camera was right in front of his adorable face or pulled out further and there was more of his head included it would make a better picture.

That's probably his MOM-I'm-tired-of-having-that-camera-in-my-face look. I'm sure I'll be getting that look often in the next several years. I was lucky enough to also get some of him smiling, sneezing, and yawning that day, so I can't complain.
