I don't know about this crop. In a way, it works. But also - I think the photo is more about the whole act of giving birth - so I keep wanting to see more of the scene, the whole barn they're in, the mother etc.

But otherwise, the lighting is great, and I love how wet he looks.

The crop is too close!
I feel what Meysha feels, too.
While it is intriguing to see it still wet by the amniotic fluids, we would really want to see some more context. That'd also add SCALE to it, we cannot judge its size at all here.
And I feel this photo is oversharpened in post processing.
