Newborn portraits, take two

Awhile ago, I posted some newborn pictures I had done and got some great tips. I went and put them to use. Here are the results. Be gentle, I'm still new, but more tips and suggestions to better my work are greatly appreciated!

the posing is good on these, but they are all underexposed.
they needed a bounced or diffused flash.

^^Agree^^ As well, watch things like the bit of chair(?) that's showing image left in #1. I would consider other colours for the background; grey isn't really ideal for newborns in my opinion. Something a little brighter and cheerier.

Thank you! I didn't have a flash at the time, except the on camera one, so I was trying to work with window and door light. I have since bought a speedlite to work with. I need to master bouncing the light now. And I didn't even think about the dark colors. You're right, lighter would be much better.

You've already gotten some great tips, so I don't have much to add except; I love the one of the baby in the basket! Super cute.
