Newspaper prints

Hiya guys,

Im doing a shoot at the weekend for a local DJ . The picture will be printed in a local newspaper in colour. Is there anything I will have to be aware of, or just shoot as normal ?

Shoot as normal, but if you do err, err on the side of [slight] over-exposure.

Make SURE that the black values are set in photoshop. Open up the red,green,and blue channels in Levels, and set the black point slider, on the left if you're unfamiliar, at 11 to 13 in each channel. Dot gain is a big issue in images printed on newsprint, so you do not want the blacks to plug up terribly.
