NH White Mountains in peak foliage

Spent a great day on Tuesday exploring the White Mountains. Fall foliage was at peak and it was just gorgeous everywhere you looked. Lots of bright sunshine to work around but there were enough clouds to keep it interesting. I have hundreds of photos to process but here are a few that give an idea of the fabulous colors.

Don't I know it! It's about 2 ours to the Mt. Washington Valley and another hour or so north to where most of these were taken. Better for an overnight trip but this year that didn't work out so I did one very long day. Lots of driving but well worth it.

Have fun! Free advice - go very early if you're planning to take the Kancamangus Hwy. If you start later, skip it and head further north - the weekends are crazy crowded at the turn outs. Pinkham Notch and Franconia Notch were just about at peak on Tuesday so should still have a lot of color. If you're on the 93 side, the tram up to Cannon Mtn is well worth the $.

Bravo! Now get to processing! We don't get fall color here, I really miss the seasons, When I lived in Kentucky at least you new what time of year it was. Thanks for sharing these they are awesome.
