Hallo back, Adam, and welcome to ThePhotoForum.
As you can see, your introduction post now finds itself in the "WELCOME"-Forum, and this is just where it should be, don't you agree .
Can't tell you anything about "gear" that you need, as I have forever been forced to work with the least expensive, which isn't always the best of choices, but the one I have, so there... others know so much more about good photography equipment.
