Just starting to try some night shots and using white balance. What a difference!

the Grist Mill at night is a different angle than the day shot. There is not much room to work with as ou can see by the sign.
Any help/comments appreciated.
No pp except IPhoto, and no filters yet but am researching them!
thank you, Nancy

Nice images - a couple of thoughts for potential improvement. Research the topic of high-dynamic-range imaging (HDR) as that is one method which will allow you to avoid things like the blown out streetlights when doing long night exposures. As for the daytime shot of the mill, I would suggest cropping the RH side with the sign away; it really distracts from the overall mood of the image IMO.

Thank you Tirediron. Agreed. Just priced the Photomatix (? Sp) today, and Elements 11.
yes, sign is a problem. Will look at cropping.
We are in Plymouth, Ma, USA. Mid Sept the flowers Re long gone, but I will know better for next year! :)
