night HDR

my only question is that is it worth trying to create an HDR of night images or is HDR better left alone for day time images? i personally haven't seen any night HDR images.

I pretty much use HDR only for night shots to be able to get even light from the entire scene.

Probably incorrect. You've probably seen a number of good HDR night shots without realizing what when into creating the images. What you likely haven't seen is the overblown "grunge" Tonemapping that is all too commonly done with daytime HDR images.
