night shot help?

Hey folks i have a friend who is trying to take photos of firecrackers going off in a bottle and this whole shot is going to be at night. no flash...and he's not using digital anything. SOOOOOooooo my question is what should his setup be? film and settings? thanks in advance.

I'd recommend Fuji Reala 100, f8-f11 and exposure experimentation.
