Nikon D3 in cold

Hello All,

My Nikon D3 has an FEE error when I take it in cold weather, 0 and below. I've had no issues with my D610, which has the same operational temp. Any suggestions how to fix the issue?

Same issue with my F100 vs my D610. The older camera just WON'T tolerate the cold at all.

That's rather odd, as the FEE error is, AFAIK, related to the lens/aperture. Are you using the same lenses on both bodies? The only thing that comes to mind is that the temperature is causing the aperture mechanism, or something related to it, to get a bit unresponsive in the cold and trigger the error, and that maybe your D3 is just a hair more sensitive than your 610?

Same lenses on both bodies. The D3 might have a connection issue, as I need to adjust the aperture ring more.
