Nikon D300 screen shade.

I'm not sure if spending nearly $200 is worth the cost. Using a hat, hood, jacket, etc would do nearly the same and cheaper :)

You don't want to be relying to much on a little 3" screen for evaluating images.

I usually wear a wide brimed hat and if the Sun is at the wrong angle I just turn my back to the Sun if I want to check composition or zoom in and check focus. Exposure should be checked with the histogram.

But $179 is a lot of money for such a tool. A good one is made by Hoodman and is less than 1/2 the cost at about $80.

I am in very harsh light most of the time when I am shooting and turning my back to the sun doesn't cut it all the time.

KMH could you link me to the one you are talking about? I only posted that one to shot people what I was talking about. I want to find the cheapest one.
