What's new

No offense to this person if they're on here...

They are just props, maybe not very good ones, but props.

Well the fact of the matter is that she's photographing toddlers... whose parents are most likely on set with them. Parents are probably highly unlikely to allow their children to be placed by a stranger in high-risk situations, so regardless of how it *looks*... it's probably safe.

I can't imagine any parent seeing a potentially dangerous situation and not checking it out to make sure nothing will go awry. :sillysmi:

Are there any 'gators down there in those bayous and swamps...you know, ones big 'nuff to eat a little girl that age?

Yes, Erose, I completely agree, but I'd still feel kinda iffy if I were putting my 2 year old in a pair of tires in the woods.

lol Derrel, yes.

Maybe tacky, maybe backwoods but doesnt look dangerous.
I question those who have christmas bulbs in the shot that the child is chewing on.

But seriously? How important is safety in your (not a specific person, you in general) shoot? I see a lot of dangerous looking pictures, especially with babies and toddlers involved. Am I just over paranoid?

A friend of mine actually had her portraits done by this person.

Welcome to Facebook

I don't know them, so I don't know if they're just starting out or not, but if you look at the Valentine mini's section there's a baby in tires with a broken door and a cabinet or something above them. Doesn't that just look dangerous? Makes me nervous.

I dont see anything unsafe in any of the pics . To see there pics just click on a pic on her wall then when it opens full size click on the small link for wall photos under the pic and viola the album is open

Ahhhh, gotta love them facebook loopholes.

I dunno if this will work, but here's the link to her albums, without having to slither your way around her page until you find a way in  :

I loved her work.....I would use her.

You were joking, right?

Well yeah a joke. I guess I didn't like the idea of showing someones work here, to bash them, and they can't defend themselves. :greenpbl:
I really don't see anything wrong w/ the way she is setting up pictures. I'm sure the parents and her feel comfortable w/ where the children are placed.:

I wasn't bashing her. I never even commented on the photos themselves, only the props. She just happened to be an example of the thing I was talking about which was safety.

I really meant no offense. I suppose it was taken the wrong way. *shrug*

It seems that I -am- the only one who feels it's unsafe, too. So, I guess I am just overly paranoid.

Sorry to anyone who thought I was bashing, I really didn't mean it that way.

kids are more durable than we give them credit for. I'll bet that door could fall over and smack her in the head and she'd be up and running again in 5 min.

BTW, saying "no offense" is meaningless. I could tell my pregnant wife "No offense, really, but you're fat", and she'd be offended. If you say silly stuff, just accept the consequences.

THIS is dangerous....tires, not so much.

Every picture on her page looks OOF to me...
