The first bird is probably en route to Africa by now the second probably Brazil or Argentina

Wonderful shots! My oldest son's GF is an ornithology major, and they go out quite often to tag birds.
That sounds interesting - you should go and photograph them. At one point a storm petrel tagged on the Copeland Islands was the oldest living bird (an albatross has now beaten it).
 
Nice capture with so little light.
