I just bought this camera this week. Its a Coolpix 8700.
I know I don't have any skills yet but Im looking to learn so Thats why I joined the fourm.

Im sure I will Im okay with that. I just came here to learn some stuff. Those pics were taken yesterday while I was playin witht he camera. I read most of the book. I have 2 friends with D70s. After seeing what they could do I had to get a nice digital camera.
I plan on getting the other lenses for it. soon.

first off, welcome to TPF DallasTT - we have several members from your neck of the woods, but steer clear, you don't wanna be guilty of association. :greenpbl: looks like you're doing a lot of experimenting...that's the best way to go about learning. your results thus far are very good. does your camera give you the option to shoot b&w or was that post processing?

Yeah my cam has a B&W option. I have a few buddies from this area that take photos.
One moved back to alaska about 6mo ago.

I really like photos of cars but I am looking at all other types of photos as well.
I wish I would of had the extra Coin for a dSLR but I think this will work for a starting camera.

i have a 99 honda accord coupe with a jdm f23b motor, ill spare ya the list but about 3k under the hood runs low 13's in the quarter.

Nice 1/4 time. Im only low 14s. I don't really take it to the track much. Its fun on the hwy. Its hit 150mph a few times which I love to do.
