noobie camera help

I am new to digital photography and am in need of a Cheap yet decent camera...Does anybody have any ideas on where i can look to find cheap cameras or what is a good choice camera to start off with? thank you

Look through the used departments at Adorama and B&H. Any DSLR 6 MP or greater is good for starting out. Because of the wide availability of lenses in all price ranges, I'd get a Canon or Nikon.

Right now you can get a Digital Rebel XT (8 MP) with 18-55mm lens for $299 used at Adorama. You really can't beat that.

Another route you could possibly take if you're willing to sacrifice some quality and the lack of interchangeable lenses is a high quality point-and-shoot like the Canon Powershot G11. The upside to this is it is very portable, but I'd honestly skip it and go straight for the DSLR.

Ok well thank you Sleep Sentry...I will see what else they have but that Canon looks to me like i might get it.
