Hey guy! I just got my first DSLR (Nikon d7000) few days ago. I'm looking for some general feedback on my photos to help me improve my skills. Thanks :)

pretty colors and pretty flower. nice little bokeh bubbles :)
I would probably focus on the flower instead of the bud though. And crop out that big leaf or whatever the heck is going on in the top right corner and down the right side.

Just not a pretty subject. Sorry I really don't like this one. I will give you credit for trying to not completely center your subject

#3 underexposed and kind of an odd crop

what lenses are you using? and what are you shooting in

Thank you for the feedbacks. I'm using Sigma 17-70 os and shooting in aperture priority and manual.

I find it hard to critique these images because it just looks like your shooting randomly. Put some thought into what your shooting and when you post asking for comments give us what you thought about the image, what you see wrong and then we can go from there. Its really hard to critique something when its three random objects.

I am not trying to be a douche either, I am serious I personally found I grew a lot more when I said what I intended the purpose of the picture to be, what I found wrong with it and then see what others have to say. Keep reading your manual, focus on composition and keep posting. Thank you for sharing and welcome to TPF.

^ took the words out of my mouth.. nice camera though for a newbie.. thats what im looking to upgrade to

Tell us your intent, show why you did what you did, tell us what you're happy/not happy about, and then we've got the basics to tell you where we think you can improve. Dee got it right.
