Went up to the Nooksack River near the Canadian border this afternoon to see how the eagles were doing... they congregate there this time of year to feed on the winter run pink salmon. There were lots of 'em there, but hardly any of 'em close. Mostly they sat in the trees on the far side up river. A couple of 'em did come in closer late in the day, and I managed a few shots, but the light was getting to be an issue for some of them. Definitely not as good as 2 years ago. Might give it another try in a week or two and see how it goes. Meanwhile, here are a few from today...
