Another 1st for me, not very sharp, but I'm still in the process of learning how to use this lens properly. These birds are quite scarce around here.

Strange looking little feller. Nice shot. I don't see anything wrong with them other than good luck when the sun is on the wrong side.

Thank you, the focus point was on the eye, in both of them, so I guess I have a little front focus going on. Was happy enough to post them though :allteeth:

They are quite nice birds and the photos are good as, in the UK they are possible to see but tricky to get close to. In South America their very similar cousins are easier to see.

Thanks, yes they have a very interesting call as well, and fly in very strange patterns. Will try and go and find them again next week.
