Not really northern, but it's the northern tip of the lower peninsula. Mackinaw City, Harbor Springs, Leeland, Traverse City and more... Lake Michigan is beautiful. Crystal clear water and white sandy beach ( not sticky too!)... what else can you ask for?

Here are some photos from the trip, but you gotta visit the gallery for the full story:

love the star trails and last best!

what were your settings for the stars?

Can't really remember, but I was using the 20mm lens. It was probably at F4 with 6min of exposure. The bright spot at the bottom was the bridge. It was over exposed.

These are really cool shots. Feels like you used a pol filter on the a couple of shots, also in the sun trails? Anyways, Cool photos.

Is that a Honda? lol

If it is, and I'm right, then I need serious help. :)

I don't remember using my polarize filters for this trip, so yeah, the sky was that blue.

Yeap it was a Acura Integra. My friend's front tire valve was leaking. We put the spare on and the spare was flat too. Luckly the very next exit was less than a mile away and we limped to the tire shop.

Funny thing is, one of the lugs had special key and my friend lost it on the road to the shop! So we went back to the freeway, walked about 2 miles trying to locate the key but didn't find anything. The mechanic had to destroy the lug and put on a new one. What a waste of time.

Great shots! I Like the last one and the lighthouse most ... Man I want to go back there, it is such a great place (I used to live a few months in MI and went "up north" a few times) ...
