Is there anyway to see what a notification was about after it's gone?

I was out with work and saw that I had a notification here while on my blackberry, but couldn't access it. I'm now home and can't see it, or what it was referring to, I've looked through my PMs, my inbox etc and can't find anything...

hmm have you tried the friends list?
I notice I get notifications for the friends list and pms only - but unless you deal with the friend request the notification sticks till you respond (whilst pms tend to vanish if you ok that you noticed them).

The only other possiblity might be that you got sent an email?
