The other day I noticed something fall off my camera when I picked it up and with closer inspection
I realized that my camera's hot shoe socket was completely broken! It is a Canon 5D Mark III
This was the piece that fell off the camera. After some research, I realized it goes inside the hot shoe socket. I'm not sure what it's purpose is or where I can get one. I have an idea that it locks the speedlite in place or covers the screws.
I have never come across this kind of problem, so I am at a loss as what I should do. Where can I find a replacement part(s)?
