And there was me expecting him to be covered in mud from head to toe!!

This is a nice photo, but not particularly inspiring, main reason for this I think is the fact we can't see the expression on his face! The focus is slightly soft as well I think.

You did well with the exposure though, looks like the sun was directly overhead and there could have been a nasty overexposed upper half, but you did well!

Timmy, for me the fact that you cannot see a facial expression is a plus, I feel the relative anonymity, highlights some more interesting features, the skinned knee and the dimple on the ankle.
Corry you have seen the very thing that I was aiming for in this shot! evoking mems of those summer days from our childhood.
