Old Film

Along with selling all of my Dads camera gear, he gave me some film - it's a little out of date, well a lot actually, Feb 1994 it expired! is it worth shooting it or just bin it?

What kind of film? B&W would handle the out of date better than color.

And it depends on how (and where) it's been kept.
B&W will, at best, have increased base level fog but otherwise should be OK.
Colour is a bit more 'ify' but may be OK.
Best thing to do is shoot it and see what happens. As it was free you've got nothing to loose.

there is an Ilford XP2 400 and a couple of Kodak Ektachrome 200 slide films, it's been stored in a cupboard in his lounge I believe (well thats were everthing else is)
