It seems very under exposed and out of focus to my eyes. I also wish it wasn't SUCH a tight crop.

I sorta see the "old" (even though it's not exaggerated enough) but not the new. The subject could be better focused. Also, the motion blur takes my eyes to a blank space. In addition to that, I do not like how some of the water is dark and underexposed but the rest is not. This gives it lack of unity. Finally, either change the angle, or photoshop that log/branch out of there. It's very distracting.

If that really is supposed to be the subject here, it should be better shown. Even after you told me I can't see it clearly (they're both relatively the same in my eyes). Just my 0.02
