Late 19th C or very early 20th. My Great Uncle Will (the young boy) fought in WWl. He survived but with what we now call PTSD and later committed suicide.

Wonderful - I wonder how much that cost in todays' value.
I think fixing the white errors should be possible in photo editing (not an expert though).
