Old Shots - Which is better?

Here have a shot of my niece taken a while ago....

I played around with it a little and i wanted to hear you opinion about the one you find better...

I have to say I like #2 It just seems to stand out and some of the backround does not stand out so much like the orange container. very nice. Bruce

I like the second picture very much, it's great. The background looks better as Bruce said and in my opinion the photo looks more effective and emotional in black and white.

Very Cute image and as stated above, I think the 2nd one provokes alot more emotion into the picture and it helps to keep your attention on subject and not the background.

Definately #2, the colors in the background detract from the photo where in B&W this photo just stands out.
