OMG! A Bald Eagle at my house!!

O M G OMGOMGOMGOMG!! OH MY GOSH!!!! Mr Rabbit and I ran into town today and when we arrived back home look who was hanging around on the river! Can you tell I'm excited!! O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He pushed the reaches of my 100-400 but I`m pretty happy with what I got since it was here at home but not thrilled with how my lens was acting while I shot him

Going to have to run it through it`s paces and see what`s up.

This one may need a bit more tlc to be all that it can be...

Isn't that awesome!? I had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I even had my 100-400 with me and grabbed some shots. Too bad most of them were crap!!!!!! :er:

Wonderful, I was the same way when I saw my first one here just a few years ago in the winter. I see them now from time to time even a couple of the young as they go by. They are magnificent to see and a couple of times have gone over me so low I could almost touch them. In winter I often watch them trying their best to scare an otter down its hole and hoping it leaves its fish. So far the otter has won each of those encounters. I have found one of their nests and can see it from my front window across the lake,. I dont have a long enough lens to do it justice. I saw them on the branches by the nest last spring but in the end they must have used another nest.
