Ok... so I have the option to buy the D3100 w/ kit for $699.99

OR!!

I can get a brand new D90 for $650 - but it's the body only....

I already have 2 Nikkor lenses (55mm and a 70-300mm) ... so what would you do if you were in my position...??

diff get the d90 and never look back

D90, your lenses will definitely work on it and it's a higher end camera.
The 3100 may have more bells and whistles, but it's still an entry level camera.

The D90 is also an entry-level Nikon.

The D90 has a focus motor, a top LCD, 2 command wheels, Commander mode in CLS, auto bracketing.

Yep D90 and at $650 it's a great price. Amazon just lowered the D90 body to 799 new.

A local store normally sells it for $799 as well but tomorrow they are having a "doorcrasher" sale and it's on sale for $650 for one day only ... so, since everyone unanimously agrees (lol) ... I'm definitely going to go pick one up tomorrow!

hope you enjoy your d90 I liked mine when I was using it

Could you pick one up for me? :-P
All I got is my old D200  and wanting to upgrade to a D90.
You can make it a christmas gift to me! :sexywink:
.

deeeeeenine-teeeeeeeeee.

i have it in my crosshairs for an upgrade as well.

For that money I'd find myself a nice early 90's Ford Festiva and pimp it out/rice it up/whatever people do to cars these days.

No?

I just wanted to be different. :(

Have fun picking up the D90, it's been great for me.
