On frozen lake...

A cold morning to be sure, -10c, good thing there's no wind. I shot these a few days ago over a 2 1/2 hour period with numb fingers and I couldn't feel my toes by the time I left. But I think it's worth it.

#1 has got to be my favourite. The colour just tells such a story.

These look so extremely cold. Brrr! So very, very cold.
But wonderful.
The air is blue from the cold and the sunshine adds this wonderful orange/yellow ... just beautiful.
And the snow in the last, the way it is lit, with its shadows and colour casts, is so pretty that it almost looks unreal. Wow.

Temps such as those are all unthinkable here, we still have way too warm weather for the season - once again with the temperatures forecast to reach the 60s during the day - this is NOT normal!

Right now the temperature is back to normal, around 2c to 7c. Believe it or not, it's still considered autumn here, so the snow storm was a early gift to the skiers. Most of the snow around the city has melted and we're back to rainy or cloudy days.

Really like the balance composition and drama of the first one, the bottom left seems a little blue for me though, i think it would be more a little desaturated on the snow pile, more real but still withthe dramatic lighting.
