On site event photography

Does anyone know of a good application or program for showing photos on site at an event? pc or mac(prefer mac).

ProShow Gold is quite nifty, but I don't think its available for Mac...

You could try Pictures to Exe.

Welcome to the forum.

Are you wanting to shoot with the camera tethered to a computer and have the images show up right away?

Or do you just want to display the images after they have been uploaded from the cards?

Assuming you're talking about a slide show rather than a tethered capture ...

Lightroom is very good. (Not cheap!)

How about iPhoto? It's already on your Mac (free) and very simple to set up and run.

Or, if you have iWork ($79), Keynote is also good.

Sorry i should have been more specific. what i'm looking for is a program that i will import photos to my laptop and run directly to a network(through ethernet cables) of computers and monitors at the actually event for people to view and purchase. i just cant find an easy program for it. in reponse to Big Mike. Yes. this is for people at the event to purchase instantly. i set up a shooting station with a laptop and want to export them to a lobby station for viewing. Thanks everyone for your imput

You can shoot with the camera tethered to your lap top and use a program like Canon Remote Capture or Nikon Capture (or whatever works for your brand of camera).

This will allow you to save the images to the computer as you take them. If you have that computer on a network, those images would be avaliable to another machine on the network.

If you had someone else to grab those images and put them into a slide show (or whatever), that should be fairly easy.
