I've lived in Feather River Country for almost 60 years, yet still I find new roads I've never traveled before. I was following signs to Smith Lake last Saturday and found this picture in the road. :) Critiques welcome.

Nikon D810, Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD at 116mm, f/5.6, 1/30s, ISO 400, hand-held (braced against the car door and window while sitting in the driver's seat).

Very nice scene, and well executed shot. A tad over saturated for my taste, and the WB looks a little strange.

I like the composition.
:)

I didn't notice the purple asphalt until John mentioned it.
And the green looked good to me until goooner mentioned the oversaturation
.. I have alot to learn still

fyi .. Arkansas has red ashphalt lol

I like it as is. It really draws you in compositionally (is that even a word?) and the colors give it a punch that bumps it up a level to make it more pleasing to the eye. Saturation is definitely a matter of taste, I like my photos a bit on the vivid side.

Beautiful scene amazing detail.I like the saturation but the asphalt does look purplish to me as well.
